Subway Waverley Bridge
Welcome to the world of Subway Waverley Bridge, nestled conveniently in Unit F8 of Waverly Mall, Edinburgh. Known for its extensive sandwich options and fresh ingredients, Subway has long been a favorite among those seeking a quick and tasty meal. However, as we take a closer look at this particular location, it seems the experience may not always live up to the brand's renowned reputation.
Despite its inviting positioning within the bustling mall, recent customer reviews highlight a series of service mishaps that put a damper on the Subway experience. For instance, one patron described a frustrating encounter where the typically speedy service lagged significantly, and another shared disappointment in the preparation of their order, which was rife with errors, from missing items to incorrect sauces. Such reviews illustrate a troubling trend of inconsistency and a lack of attentiveness among the staff, crucial elements in the fast-food market that can heavily impact customer satisfaction.
While it’s evident that some staff members do their best under pressure, there are alarming accounts of chaotic service and miscommunication. For example, several reviews pointed to slow performance and unclear promotion details that led to added confusion rather than efficiency.
However, not all hope is lost for Subway Waverley Bridge. The core essence of the brand remains—customizable sandwiches made with fresh ingredients, ideal for anyone on the go. But, like any dining experience, the service is just as important as the food itself. In order to truly enjoy a meal from this establishment, it appears one may need to arm themselves with patience and perhaps a little luck.

Yet, it’s crucial to keep the expectations in check and perhaps consider visiting during less busy hours. As always, the menu rewards creativity, allowing diners to build their own subs, wraps, or salads to suit their tastes. Here’s to hoping that with time, this location can regain the speed and service excellence that Subway is known for throughout its franchises.

One of the worst service experiences I've had. In a rush I decided to drop by for what is usually a reliably fast, known entity. Big mistake, it took ages and was horrible!Important to note the staff member doing the first part was great, but it compeltely fell down on the person doing the salad and tills (Jordan). She was so slow and so grumpy. Her colleague tried to encourage her to go faster and she just gave her attitude back. A massive queue built up and Jordan didn't speed up at all. When it finally got to me (my sub cold by this point) she slammed my requested salad all in the middle with no effort to distribute. Take a look at the photo to see how poorly made the sub is. It was impossible to eat normally. Then she went to charge me, dropped the knife and walked away to the back to get a new knife. I was left standing for - seconds with my sub ready to go but out of reach on the other side of the counter. Jordan came back and just started serving the next person. I got her attention and asked if I could have my sandwich, with a huff she genuinely flicked my sub towards me; just enough to reach, but no effort to hand it to me!Shocking behaviour. Won't be going back.

Everything about our order was messed up. Our two meal deals were both missing drinks and cookies as part of the order. On top of that, the footlong we ordered had the wrong sauce, wrong vegetables and the portioning was absolutely terrible. Completely drenched in the wrong sauce and overloaded with red onions as shown in the picture. For the second meal deal, our order had rock solid meatballs in the sandwich, making it completely inedible. We are baffled at how our order was messed up this badly, definitely do not recommend at all.

Came in today as I haven't had a subway in ages and was really craving one only to have a horrible experience. Firstly they only had one bread option which was some seeded bread and it tasted like straight up sugar, secondly there was no ham so I just had cheese and the cheese practically melted into the bread. I got some cucumbers as seen below to make the sandwich look less sad but even then it straight up looked horrific. I understand staff are overwhelmed but some came across as unfriendly, the price was also shocking £. for such a plain not even nice sub I was very disappointed infact I barely ate any as the bread tasted far too sugary. Do better subway

I was thoroughly impressed with how slow and incapable the staff were. While two staff members sat in the back room chatting, the one staff member working managed to take half an hour to make our three subs. To cap off the experience, just as he had wrapped up my subway he managed to drop it on the ground right in front of us picked it up and proceeded to hand it to us without saying a word.If sub par service was an Olympic event this Subway would have Simon Biles and Michael Phelps bowing at the podium in front of it.I was hungry though so still ate it....also not the best.
